Summer is a great time for entertaining…you are bound to be invited to someone's home for a dinner, BBQ or fun soiree. It's always nice to be a gracious guest and bring a gift, but finding something both chic and unique can be a challenge. Here are some of my favorite hostess gift ideas to help with your search in finding the perfect something!
I am obsessed with these delicious and GORGEOUS chocolates by Maggie Louise Confections. You can customize them with a theme to fit the personality of your guest! The ones below were sent to me (and did WOW me).
BUY: Maggie Louise Chocolates Gift Boxes. Please order 7-10 days in advance of date needed.
Trays are always useful and these personalized ones by Mark and Graham are fun and make a nice statement!
BUY: Mark and Graham Rectangular Acrylic Tray, $49-$59
Cool and colorful cocktail muddler straws are perfect to bring to a cocktail party! This 3-in-1 bar tool is great for grinding, stirring and sipping!
BUY: Mastrad Muddler Straws, $9.99
I found out about these chic "plastic" crystal glasses at "The Brentwood" in Los Angeles when they opened their new cafe and they used these to serve their drinks. Fun fact: Govino glasses were originally created as a trade tool to help professional salespeople showcase their wines whenever and wherever proper stemware was not available. A nice gift for the person who likes to entertain outside or poolside!
BUY: Govino Faux Crystal Glasses, $49.95
I recently bought this new cook book by Laurie David at her book party and was impressed by the breadth of healthy and delicious the recipes included. The Family Cooks has over 100 simple recipes all made with fresh ingredients and unprocessed foods. A perfect gift for the health-minded hostess with a family!
Laurie published the book to inspire parents and children to take control of what they eat and to bring families together by cooking together.
You can never have too many candles, especially when they smell so nice and look this beautiful. Each candle is sculpted under water with a high temperature wax. The color is hand mixed and the fragrances are custom blended into a soy candle filling.
BUY: Le Feu de L'Eau Boutique luxury candles, $62 each. Available in 10 different colors/scents.
I love these organic-shaped mirror vases from the new home Essie Collection (website launching soon). They are only about 5 inches high so you can set two or three of them with flowers along the dining table and still see the guest across from you…perfect for dinner parties!
Buy Essie Collection, Molded Mirror Vase, $25. Contact Esther@essiecollection to purchase.
These decorative vases also look great alone in a bathroom or bedside table with some fresh flowers.
How amazing are these bang serving plates? So fresh and modern! They are hand-made and designed by Kelly Lamb, an LA artist with some pedigree. Her work has been exhibited internationally and nationally in museums, galleries and prestigious art fairs.
BUY: Kelly Lamb Bang Plate, starting at $80.
