Paris is the city of light and has always held a special place in my heart. When I lived in London, I used to go there almost every weekend for the food and of course the fashion. This year, my daughter Rachel and I went on our first mother-daughter trip there, embracing the opportunity to show our personal style with the essence of Parisian fashion. We happened to be there during Paris Fashion Week, which made it even more special. We explored the streets, stores, the cuisine, attended a fashion presentation for Strathberry, one of my go-to bag designers. I will be covering all of this in a future blog post but for now let’s talk about all things fashion.
Summer is in full swing now which means there is a whole wave of new shoe trends to wear through the season. My daughter Rachel and I were recently asked by Who What Wear to share some of our favorite summer shoe trends that we won’t miss out on so I thought I would share them with you for some inspo!

I recently partnered with my daughter Rachel to give you our take on this topic. Read on to see our summer trend must-haves with our “wear this” and “not that” round up!
This is the time of year when you need go-to items in your closet that mix and match with everything. My daughter Rachel and I like to have all our basics covered, so we are always prepared with great wardrobe options.
My daughter Rachel moved to New York City last month and is taking on her new, exciting life by storm. We are still inspired by similar styles—hers more of an edgier New York vibe and mine a California bohemian look.
Denim seems to always be our go-to, worn casually chic all year long. Rachel and I live in our jeans and like similar styles that are ageless. For 2021, our favorites include looser high-waisted denim, white denim (even after Labor Day!), denim x denim looks, and more!
There’s quite a bit of affordable fashion out there now so it’s easy to look super stylish on a budget these days! My daughter Rachel and I were recently asked by Who What Wear to share our favorite trends under $100. Although we both have our own personal style, we tend to lean towards similar staple looks and found so many great finds this season that are budget-friendly and chic
If you have been following along, you know by now that my daughter Rachel and I have teamed up to work on several mother-daughter projects this year. Today we are sharing how we use our Hermes scarves to create four wearable looks (HINT-not around the neck!) that are perfect for the summer. We are both into retro trends this year and hope this how-to inspires you to wear some of the scarves that have been sitting in your closet!
Just like so many other fashion-obsessed girls, my daughter Rachel and I have a thing for shoes! Since we’ve been spending more time close to home these days, we are wearing styles that are both comfy and chic. As we get ready to transition from summer to fall, certain ones will stay with us for a little while longer, and some will quickly be rotating to the front of our closets.
In our latest mother-daughter Who What Wear feature, “I’m 55 and My Daughter Is 23—These Are the 5 Shoe Trends We Both Wear”, we shared the styles that we can’t live without these days. From a classic Western-style boot to a laid-back pair of Birkenstocks, read on to see the versatile shoe choices we both love to wear these days.
I recently had the pleasure of working on a super fun project with my daughter, Rachel. We were asked to do a post for Who What Wear about the basic wardrobe pieces we both love, and we covered everything from boyfriend jeans to minimalist jewelry. Some favorites of ours include solid midi dresses, high-waisted denim and basic button-ups. We also love to wear delicate gold jewelry and think these earrings are super fresh for layering our ear candy. These small details elevate our basic style for an extra chic look!
