After the quarantine, masking, unmasking, and re-masking, I feel lucky to at least be able to travel again. While I’m not exactly rushing to Europe this summer, I‘ve taken some great local trips, like Joshua Tree, and across the country to Miami to visit my Aunt. I’m also planning to spend some time visiting family and friends in the Hamptons in August. Yay!

I really HATE packing, and I try to start the process a few days in advance—yet, somehow, I always seem to stay up late the night before to finish last minute. When packing for a summer trip, I find that it’s best to first make a list of what I need based on my plans for day and night. I start by taking out all my favorites, try on the looks, and narrow down my choices from there. I like to select a color theme and stick with it so that I’m not packing too many different bags and shoes. I limit myself to one (large) suitcase, whether it’s for a longer trip or just a weekend.
