Summer is in full swing now which means there is a whole wave of new shoe trends to wear through the season. My daughter Rachel and I were recently asked by Who What Wear to share some of our favorite summer shoe trends that we won’t miss out on so I thought I would share them with you for some inspo! Strappy Sandals
One of our favorite Y2K trends that’s making a come-back this season is the strappy sandal. We love that their minimalist style makes them a versatile shoe that will pair well with just about any outfit. Whether you decide to wear them with a skirt, dress, jeans or pleated pants this summer, they are sure to be a chic addition!

Mules
Heeled mules have become an absolute staple in our wardrobes. We love that they’re easy to slip on and off and when wearing them we don’t have to give up comfort for style, which essentially makes them the perfect shoe!

Sporty Sandals
While I think we were all a bit skeptical at the emergence of the sporty “tourist” sandal trend, it has truly become one of our favorite kind of shoes to wear during the summer. Chunky footwear has been on the rise for a while now and we can see why; they’re functional and best of all, comfortable!

Classic Flat Sandals
As much as we love finding new and creative ways to style all these different variations of sandals, sometimes there really is nothing better than a beautiful, classic pair of flats. We’ve especially been loving these recent splurge purchases as they are a great addition to our “forever” summer capsule collections. They definitely add an element of sophistication to any summer look and we will surely be packing them for any beach-chic travel.

We are loving everything about the resurgence of this retro trend from the 70’s. A platform heel paired with a mini dress is perfect for a night out, while a platform sandal makes any day-time outfit look effortlessly chic. We also don’t mind the extra height they give us!

We are totally here for this nostalgic sneaker trend. We have been loving the return of the retro high-top as well as the chunky sneaker. It would seem that no street style look will be complete this summer without a pair of these old-school shoes!
