Over the past year, I’ve had the joy of traveling across Europe, including two unforgettable visits to the South of France. Among its many breathtaking destinations, I was enamored with St. Tropez as it offers a perfect blend of coastal beauty, charm, and sophistication. There’s something truly magical about St. Tropez. Think sparkling turquoise waters, sailboats, sunlit terraces, and an effortlessly stylish crowd. While it’s long been a haven for artists, writers, and the jet set, beyond its glamorous reputation lies a town filled with understated charm, Provençal character, and an undeniable joie de vivre!
In this guide, I’m sharing my favorite places to stay, eat, and shop—whether you’re looking for iconic beach clubs, charming boutiques, or incredible dining. I hope this guide helps you plan the perfect getaway...À bientôt!

Once a quiet fishing village, St. Tropez became a cultural phenomenon in the 1950s when Brigitte Bardot arrived to film And God Created Woman. The film catapulted Bardot to stardom and also transformed this seaside Mediterranean town into a playground for the jet-set crowd. Even as yachts grew larger and the clientele more extravagant, St. Tropez has retained its soul—a delicate balance of sophistication and authenticity.
Start your St. Tropez experience at the Vieux Port, where pastel-colored facades reflect in the glistening water, and fishermen’s boats bob alongside multimillion-dollar yachts. Grab a morning espresso at Sénéquier, the iconic red-awning café, and take in the scene—artists setting up their easels, locals engaged in lively conversation, and the occasional celebrity slipping discreetly into a vintage convertible.
No visit to St. Tropez is complete without a day at one of its legendary beach clubs. Pampelonne Beach, with its golden sands and sparkling sea, is home to world-renowned establishments such as Club 55, where a barefoot-chic ambiance prevails alongside langoustines, rosé, and bubbly, and Bagatelle, where the afternoon seamlessly turns into a celebration. Whether you seek laid-back luxury or high-energy revelry, there’s a spot for you along this sun-kissed stretch of coastline.
For all its glamour, St. Tropez also knows how to slow down. Wander through La Ponche, the old quarter, where narrow cobblestone streets lead to charming boutiques and quaint bistros. Visit the open-air Place des Lices market (held Tuesdays and Saturdays), where you’ll find everything from local lavender to exquisite antiques. And as the sun begins to set, make your way to Le Sentier du Littoral, a coastal path offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
The culinary scene in St. Tropez is as refined as it is diverse. For an elegant yet relaxed dinner, book a table at L’Opéra, where French cuisine meets theatrical flair. For something more intimate, La Vague d’Or (a three-Michelin-starred haven) offers an unforgettable gastronomic journey. And of course, there’s the simple joy of savoring a fresh tarte tropézienne, the town’s signature cream-filled pastry, best enjoyed at La Tarte Tropézienne itself.
When night falls, St. Tropez transforms once more. A pre-dinner apéritif at Bar du Port sets the tone, while those in the know slip into L’Escalet for a more intimate, candlelit affair. If you're in the mood for glamour, Les Caves du Roy remains the ultimate nightclub, where the champagne flows and the music pulses beneath chandeliers that have seen decades of decadence.
