Strutting in Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

Last week, I walked the runway in Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show that took place at Lincoln Center, home of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. The amazing event was created three years ago by Melissa Musen Gerstein and Denise Albert of The Moms and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff of SWW Creative. According to The Moms, Strut is "a ridiculously stylish runway show featuring super chic moms from all walks of life." Sponsors included Cottonelle, Whirlpool and Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer.

Each mom struts for a charity or organization that is important to them. I walked for FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education) as both my children have life-threatening food allergies. It was an honor to strut on FARE's behalf along side other fabulous women like Darlene Rodriguez of NBC New York, Alexis Stoudemire, Laura Posada, Katina Taylor among others. Check out the pics and video from backstage to the runway!

Strutting the catwalk is no easy feat! My Mom told me to place one foot in front of the other and walk with good posture. Mom knows best!

Back Stage: All dressed and ready to strut the runway! Pants and top by Ramy Brook.

Backstage Pass! My outfit is by the fabulous NY designer, Ramy Brook.  All the models were accessorized with EFFYJewelry

Hands in pockets, posture, one foot in front of the other. All good (at least from the outside...LOL)!

Following my practice run on the catwalk. Finger crossed that I don't pull a Carrie Bradshaw.
