Crush on Proactiv Skin Care Products!

I recently tried Proactiv, a skincare line with a huge celebrity following. The brand is known for controlling and preventing acne, and for improving the overall condition of the skin. All of their well-known spokespeople were loyal users before they represented the brand. I was very impressed by how well these products work after giving them a road test. Here are some of my favorites below...

Applying the  Proactive Refining Mask

After using the mask, my skin felt tighter and smoother. I followed up with the green tea moisturizer.

The  Proactiv mini-maintenance travel kit is perfect to take with you on long weekends. I love that the exfoliating cleanser has tiny scrubbing beads!

After I applied the moisturizer, my skin (no filter or retouching) felt dewey, revitalized and smooth.

Mani Monday: The Coolest Gel Mani's Ever

I was recently turned on to an incredible place for gel mani's in LA called Yuki Sharoni in Beverly Hills. They are a beauty and lifestyle salon with nail services that specialize in gemstone powder and decorative gel manicures. Hikari is the nail specialist there and she did the fab manicures below. If you don't live in LA, this will give you some cool nail inspiration to show the manicurist at your favorite nail salon.

Video DIY: Natural Looking Beach Waves in Under 5 Minutes

Want loose, natural-looking beach waves in under five minutes? Watch my how-to video to see how it's done!

The best way to get natural-looking waves is to use a clipless curling iron like this one by Conair. Hair should be done in one inch sections and wrapped around the iron AWAY from the face. You can leave ends out and do them later, or just leave them straight for a modern look.
