Spring is definitely one of the best times of year to be in New York. Since my daughter moved to Tribeca last fall, I plan to spend more time there, especially now that winter is almost behind us. I’ve recently been wearing some great basic looks here in LA that will work so well for my upcoming NYC trips and thought I would share them with you for some inspo!
These are great pieces to rock on both coasts so read on to see my fave wardrobe staples for the early spring season.

1. Neutrals – faux leather, blazer and jacket – Even though I spend more time on the West Coast, I’m a NY girl at heart and will always love the monochromatic look. These pieces will get lots of mileage this spring for sure!

2. Ruched Dress – The perfect transitional dress from winter to spring is this one by Michael Stars. The ruched bodice is super flattering and it comes in several colors including a sleeveless version too! These dresses are comfy for travel and can be dressed up or down depending on accessories. Pair with a cropped jacket for cooler days.
3. Black trousers – A classic black high-waisted trouser is a go-to look of mine and can be worn from work straight to dinner. The wide-leg, tailored and pleated look borrowed from YK2 fashion feel fresh this year for spring.
4. Vintage-style Accessories - Chunky jewelry and retro sunnies will be my go-to accessories this Spring.
5. Denim – Spring is the time to break out the lighter washes and ivory or white denim. I prefer looser fit that can be paired with a transitional sweater or blouse depending on the weather.
6. Bag – One of my fave new purchases is this stylish slouchy sustainable bag by Nanushka--I plan to buy another one in a bright color spring/summer. Makes a great travel piece because it’s easy to pack and can be worn from day to night.
7. Sneakers - Fashion meets function with 90’s style sneakers that look casual chic when pounding the pavement. They go with everything from jeans to leggings and to high-waisted trousers.
