There’s magic in going to a place that feels like it’s part of your DNA. My grandparents on my dad’s side were born in Greece, so visiting this sun-drenched island carries a sense of connection that’s very special to me. The golden light, the salty breeze off the Aegean, the warmth of the people—it all felt so good.
Mykonos is a place where contrasts coexist in harmony: ancient stone streets and chic boutiques, lazy beach afternoons and vibrant nights that stretch on till sunrise, a blend of simplicity and indulgence. There’s a rhythm to life here that invites you to slow down, savor the moment, and lean into joy.
Whether you’re sipping a chilled spritz with your feet in the sand, browsing for handcrafted sandals, or dancing under the stars, this island is full of beauty, style, and soul. I was lucky enough to spend some time there with good friends last August and thought you would enjoy my guide to the best of Mykonos, perfect for the traveler with a love for sunshine and sparkle!
Keep scrolling for all the details, including my fashion picks on what to wear from day to night during a summer stay in Mykonos. If you have not been there yet, this is one for the bucket list!

P.S. Some fashion advice—Mykonos is super casual, and you will only need flat shoes to walk the cobblestone streets, so leave the heels at home. I lived in these sandals!
Beach Clubs
Each beach club in Mykonos has its own unique energy—ranging from relaxed and barefoot luxe to high-glam party scenes. Here are the ones not to miss:
Alemagou - Located on a tranquil northern bay, Alemagou feels both bohemian and refined. Cushioned lounge areas, a mellow DJ vibe, exceptional food, and a luxury fashion pop-up make it perfect for an all-day hang. It’s stylish without being too “sceney.”
Liasti - Tucked away on Lia Beach with more of a local feel. Pristine waters, fewer crowds, and a relaxed atmosphere. Do bring water shoes—it’s a bit rocky!
Principote - This is your ultimate beach party in chic neutral cabanas. It’s known for its lavish setup, spirited DJ sets, and napkin-waving sundown rituals. Luxe but electric—go with a group, and stay for sunset.
SantAnna - An expansive beach club experience with a lagoon-style pool, cabanas, sushi bars, and boutique shopping. Perfect for a day of indulgence.
Agia Anna & Kalua - Located side by side on Paraga Beach. Agia Anna is low-key, while Kalua brings high energy, chic cabanas, and strong cocktails. A fun beach crawl if you’re in the mood for variety.
Dinner at Interni
Dining in Mykonos
Dinner here starts late—book your reservation for 10pm. These spots blend ambiance, design, and Greek-meets-global cuisine beautifully.
Noema - Currently the “it” restaurant on the island. Ask for a central table under the open-air canopy. The music, lighting, and design are all a vibe—and the lamb is unforgettable.
Interni - Set in a lush, candlelit courtyard. Mediterranean flavors, great cocktails, and a beautiful crowd. It’s buzzy in all the right ways.
Scorpios - More than a restaurant—this is a full Mykonos experience. The food is fantastic, the sunset rituals are mesmerizing, and the energy is magnetic.
Coya - Peruvian cuisine with Mykonian flair, live DJ sets, and a beautifully curated menu. A great pre-Scorpios dinner option.
Spilia (Lunch) - Set cliffside above the sea. Order fresh lobster pasta or oysters and sip rosé with your toes almost touching the water. It’s heaven.
Remezzo - A classic Mykonos institution. Come for dinner or a chic drink with a view over the old port.
Rhino Vegan - The tastiest salads, smoothie bowls, and light bites in town. A healthy bite while you shop !
