You know that saying, "men get better with age?" Health-wise, that's not exactly true! Compared to women, men not only have shorter life expectancies but also tend to suffer from more health issues related to aging. So, the truth is, healthy aging advice is so important for both women and men. And the good news is there are things you and your partner can implement—even together—to mitigate the adverse health conditions associated with aging.

The practices Michael and I do to ensure healthy aging are actually some of my favorite things that we do together. After a morning of intermittent fasting (usually 16 hours), we start the day by eating a light, healthy Mediterranean-style lunch that includes a salad and a lean protein. We like to take our supplements with our first meal of the day as well (see our faves below).
We also try to get in a 3 – 5 mile hike every weekend which also gives us some quality time to catch up! There are several awesome hikes in the Santa Monica mountains that are located fairly close to home--we usually choose the level of challenge depending on time and our energy that day. If there are no hikes near you, try to find a physical activity, game or workout class that you can do with your partner to encourage reaching your health goals together.
Once we get home, we make our post-workout drinks and sit outside to enjoy our surroundings whether it be poolside or bird-watching in our backyard to get in some much-needed R&R.
